Geocoding and Routing
The first step is to geocode your customers and resources and place these locations geographically on a map. Sometimes the easiest tasks become difficult when dealing with so many points.

Taking an address and calculating it’s place on a map. The basis for all geographic calculations in the system.
Calculates the driving distance and time for a set of stops in a given order. Does NOT put the stops in the optimized sequence.
Given a set of stops, will optimize the sequence of the stops, then calculate the driving distance and time. Optionally, can take into account event-windows (ie. patient needs to be seen in the morning).
The foundation for everything
HCI utilizes map layers to enable you to visualize your resource and patients on the same map. You can add a new map layer for any data type within the HCI solution. These maps can be used to identifying service areas that require additional resource to meet the patient demand for services. .
Ordered routing calculates the driving distance and time for a set of stops in a given order. This commonly used when resources are confirming their actual mileage for a specific day. This mileage calculation is used when preparing the mileage reimbursement extract file.
Given a set of stops, we will optimize the sequence of the stops, calculate the driving distance, drive time and report the proposed and actual mileage reimbursement. We take into account timed visits and event-time windows (ie. patient needs to be seen in the morning or a lab draw must be completed at 2:00pm).
Our holistic approach to assignments takes a list of events for a given day, plus all available resources, and calculates to best distribution of events among the resources to reduce drive time and improve resource productivity.
Also known as “Primary Assignment”. This optimization analyzes all the events for a given consumer, and returns a recommended list of clinicians who would best serve as the main clinician during the entire episode of care.
